LEAD THE MOVEMENT
• Add your insight and theory to an emerging “field” of music, youth and culture based work
• Provide checks and balances on developing a coordinated strategy for cultural change in the US that’s rooted at the community level and interrupts the over-commodfication of young people and music scenes.
• Help build a case and a support base for building more recording programs, DIY venues, and independent infrastructure while also protecting what stands to be lost
• Be eligible for a place on AMP’s Member Steering Committee

JOIN FORCES
• Get to know your friends and colleagues around the country—visit one another, gain 100 new advisors and mentors, learn new things, book a joint tour, make a compilation CD, approach funders together. Break down the myth that being DIY means being a loner.
• Exchange people and resources—need a new booking coordinator? Have an artist in residence program? Summer internships? Reach out to the thousands of peers with similar skill sets and new information to bring to your organization.

• Get targeted and general news and updates in the network online and offline like invitations to attend and present at conferences, host network events, build alliances with sympathetic artists
